Default When to get a 4 wheel alignment check?

When should you get these done? When something feels odd, e.g. wheel pulling to the left or right or should it be done regardless?

Ive had the car for 18 months and the steering feels the same as it did when I bought it, no steering issues that I can make out, fuel consumption as expected so is it worth doing or would it be an unnecessary waste of money?

Thanks, I was intending to but then I read that its good to check it every 12 months and that most people think its fine when its not and don't realise what their handling should be like, so wasnt sure.

Changing the geometry settings to a fast road setup will reduce understeer and improve the feel of the car. Not to be confused with tracking....

IMHO when driving a car for 12 months you probably get used to any percularities. for £50 from KwikFit i'd say its worth getting their 4 wheel laser alignment - if even to preserve those precious tyres

Hmm possibly. Wouldnt take it to KwikFit, every time I used to come away from them the car was worse off than before.

This poses the next question, laser alignment or manual string alignment?

I would probably go to HDC Subaru who have been fantastic but they only do manual alignments, which they say are better. Is this true?
