Mike Wood, question about springs please...
Hi,
I just bought (found ? ) a brand new set of Bilstein dampers, for my GC Impreza.
They're the ones from the Wr sport option years ago.
Now I'm considering changing my still standard springs also.
They have done 140.000 miles so I think they are running a bit softer now.
But what to choose from ?
I prefer the standard ride height, but Eibach is only selling "lowering" springs, and that I do not want !
Subaru has original springs, but at a price.
What is your advice ?
Some people say the Eibach are lowering the car, but no so much as the claimed 30 mm; other say that the Eibach springs are running loose between the struts because of their shorter length.
Help me out here please !
Thanks
Wouter

the Eibachs will lower it slightly but will not "rattle around" in the struts..............an will give an improvement in ride as well as roadholding generally

You'd be better off with the right springs. Whilst Eibach made them for Prodrive, their normal aftermarket spec isn't the same.
Someone bought a set from Prodrive recently and was trying to fit them to a later car so they may still be available to pick up from him. If not, fit a set of P1 springs as the rates are really close.

Dave, i don't know the numbers, but if it says WR sport and the springs are bleu, then they are the right ones, for a Classic !
