What coilover suspension? What have you got?
I'm looking to get coilover suspension, can you just tell me what coilovers you have and whether you rate it or not.
I'm thinking BC at the moment.

eibach pro street s fitted for over 3yrs cant fault them to be honest , wasn't that bothered about loads of damping and rebound adjustment as i figure that eibach know better than me how it should be set up

I'm interested in this too.
Having engine re-built over the next 2 wks, and suspension is next.
My 03 jap sti has the usual clunky rear shocks.
Its sitting on Tein lowering springs an standard shocks, but I find it a little hard on irish roads.
Can the BC's be made slightly softer than stock?

to answer your question yes when i fitted mine what really shocked me is that i was expecting a firmer ride but to be truthful they where smoother then my sti shocks and eibach springs. they are a nice upgrade for the price,plus you can also get a more softer spring rate when you order them.

Well maybe when I'm finished paying for the re-build i'll consider them then!
Getting new ACL's all round on rods, omega .5mm oversize pistons, bores honed, T-belt, tensioner, had injectors flow tested.
Got 3-inch full de-cat, so looking forward to gettin it back on the road, bar the cost if it!
Suspension has been annoying me since i got it in march though.

isnlt there a whole thread running about people getting nocking form them?
wouldn;t go near them myself.
why do you want coilovers? a decent set of shocks and springs are a better option unless you want to start playing with setups (most folks never touch them so there pointless). i run kyb shocks and eibach springs and handels extremly well.

I would like to be able to adjust the ride height and stifness though, so have a "Road setting" and "track day" setting.
However if they knock after a year or so that would turn me off big time.

kyb's are adjustable and eibachs lower the car by about 30mm, think there around £800 in a complete package with a rear anti roll bar, although not sure how up to date that price is.

Then, my shocks are really creaky, so they aren't damping as well as they should i imagine.
At £650 for a full set of BC's its hard to argue, if they wont creak in a years time, and can offer softer and harder than stock settings.

check if thats fitted or just supplied and also if it includes a full geom setup, not saying it doesn't but just check to make sure you don't have a surprise waiting

Oh dear! I was showing some interest until I heard that!
From experience of other (not car related) engineered products from China/Taiwan etc. I have to say that they look really good and well finished but are often made from cheese! Has anyone run these for 20+k without them wearing out?

If you read the thread in full then youd be amazed at the number of people who have rectified problems NOT associated with their BCs that have resolved their complaint.
And to improve ride quality further BC Racing coilovers all now come with a standard type rear top mount that eliminates any chance of an issue associaited with the noise transmitted through a stiffer than OE top mount design.
Thats noncense, Taiwanese quality control and production methods are far closer to those implemented and worked to in Japan than China. Heres some of the equipment used in BC Racings factory, I dont see any evidence of any dairy based products here:

the bc coilovers are excellent and i've fitted a fair few sets (at a guess 30+), the new rear top mounts have cured the knocking that people said happened and if i had the money i would definatley have a set fitted on my car by now!
