Bug Eye Track
Hi All,
I am currently in the process of building a track day car. I have a bug eye STi. The first area I am going to sort is the handling. After looking through the millions of posts on here, I have decided to start with;
-White line anti roll bars
-White line anti lift kit
-White line rear camber adjustment bolts
-Power Flex bushes
-Finally some Eibach springs (Upgrading to AST's or Exe-TC in the future when budget allows)
Also I'm going to get a laser alignment done.
The idea of this project is to get the most performance without spending silly money. The above lot is going to cost just under £700. My question is are there any other cheapish upgrades I can do that will benefit me?
One upgrade I have thought of is widening the rear track using wheel spacers. That way it will be the same width as the 2005 Sti. Will I see any benefit to doing this? Or will it not be worth doing or even worse will it mess up the handling.
Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
1. Spacers will only exacerbate the tendancy for early STI's to eat their wheel bearings...
2. Fit all the above...
3. Try second hand, an ARB is £130+ new, 2/3 as costly used...
4. Track tyres will have a greater impact IMHO but will blow your budget wide open.

P.S. Choose who you use to do the set-up, or give them your preferred settings.
