Eibachs have finally produced a new spring designed for the '01 & '02 Rex...

and I'm having them fitted on April 5th courtesy of TSL

I had booked my car in with TSL for fitting Eibachs before I knew the new spring was going to be available(was going to have the "old" type fitted)
As it turns out, TSL are the first company in the UK to be getting these as they have secured the first 50 sets direct from Eibach.
And they come with a million kilometre warranty!

Got this info direct from TSL today when I had my oil changed, ITG panel filter and TSL's group N back box fitted...

Turned the stereo off on the journey home so I could listen to the burble from the back box....now thats music to my ears

I had the email too when I got home.

Paul(Trouser) had already told me about them this morning.

Looks like my car will be one of the first few cars to get them fitted

As for you asking about the oil they used....
They put me Silkolene PRO-S 10W/50 in today.
This is a TOP oil, good enough for racing. When I checked my receipt later, I noticed that I was charged the same for this Quality oil as Monty's charged me for the 0W/30 stuff!

Jason,

I'll tell you after I've had them fitted on April 5th...

They're not in the country as yet, so nobody really knows what they're like(not even TSL !) but as the "old" spring was so good even though it wasnt designed for the 01/02, it is expected that these new springs will at the very least be "as good as" the old but more likely to be much improved. A good guess would be to say they will combined the good bits from the Grey springs and Blue springs. Think the rear's will be where most of the difference is.
Time will tell...
Give TSL a call, they will be able to tell you more than me.

Already 2 of us having the work done, me and my mate/business partner are having the same work done on the same day, doesn't leave any room for anyone else that day.

As for getting a discount...LMAO

Have you met Trouser(Paul) and his dad(Graham)...
the following words come to mind:

A,GETTING,OF,OUT,BLOOD,STONE

I'm not complaining about their prices, very reasonable.
Having said that, they were VERY cheap on today's visit...I even had to force them to take a tip for the mechanic
