Backend wants to step out - Too stiff ?
Have a 95 classic wrx but i have fitted some Pink (not red) Showa springs/shocks,they have 4 damping adjustments, i have them on the softest seting front and rear, quite a firm ride still to say the least, but better than the coilovers i had, they were stiff !!!
Its had a geo setup by powerstation, nothing fancy, just normal tracking etc
anyhoo, car feels like the back end wants to step out when driving briskly/thru twisties etc, doesnt feel planted at all, even in a straight line feels if i slightly moved steering wheel left/right at speed id totally wipe out
so,could they suspension be too stiff or not enough ?
was thinking of getting a H brace for underneath, currently have front and rear strut braces too.
cheers

Does the car wallow or is it geometry induced ?
Wallowing is when the suspension is set too soft, geometry will just feel like low grip, mine was scary in the wet till I had the rear end set to a more "normal" toe-in.
dunx

it certainly doesnt wallow, far far from it, put it this way,you can push down on the wing to get shock movement and the most anything moves is the wing itself flexing !
they are not worn or seized just bloody hard
i had it aligned for correct toe etc for tyre wear.
just feels unstable, i certainly wouldnt want to take an S bend (on track) at 90+ as it would have issues on the exit of the S Bend i reckon
