apex inverted coilovers on classic

apex inverted coilovers on classic
I have a set of apex (red and black style) inverted coilovers on my classic with 5 spring rate at front and 4 at the rear.
if i go over any pot holes it feels like my ***** are going to fall out, and if i go over a medium bump, it is like there are no tires on the car!!
i have got 17" alloys, and the coilovers were fitted and set up by a good garage.
i have played around with the rebound adjustments, and at the mo i have them set up like this all round.
fully wound anti clockwise, then 5 clicks clockwise. so from what i have read, this should be near the soft setting.
have i just been use to standard suspension to much?
any info welcome
thanks

Iv got bc coilovers on mine (not the inverted ) with 17" wheels. Running mine on 10 clicks from soft. On anything other than a smooth road there pretty hard. You have to keep your eye out for pot holes. Just think your used to your soft standard set up. I like the firm ride, but i let my mum borrow it once and she reckoned it nearly did her spine in.
