Hi Everyone

Has anyone had any issues with the Front struts / suspension of a 2006 WRX?

My car has covered 43k nearly now and i have noticed recently that particularly on lock i get a slight knocking sound comming from the N/S front strut?

I have already 10k ago had both rear shocks replaced under warranty - are the fronts normally a problem? - my cars out of warranty in June so any help / advise appreciated

Is it def a strut could be a CV joint

my 57 makes a similar noise when i drive it first thing in the morning and go over the white lines in my parking space. its been discussed on here before and apparently its normal. (cant find thread)

I had my front struts replaced (05 WRX -- I think they're the same), so if I was you, I'd get it in to the dealers so that you've plenty of time to get it sorted before the warranty runs out.

Just had both front struts replaced under warranty (43k on the clock)

That now means at less than 3 years old and 50k the car has now had new shocks all round

never had this issue with a car before?

although i now have new shocks all round with less than 10k covered since changing i am concerned that in 2 months time my car is out of warranty

if i keep the car does this mean i can expect to have to change them all again in the next 30k? hope not

did the strut replacement fix the thudding noise when cornering then ??

Reason i ask is,i had a new steering coloumn fitted yesterday to resolve a 2 year battle with IM over a rattling noise when turning over loose surface's,this has had success upto a point,the rattle has gone but i still get a thud type noise when taking the same corners etc

did they change both the struts and top mounts ??
