Default wax oiling tein coilovers before fitting

are coilovers prone to rust?? can rust be a factor in their life span?? and would it be worth wax oiling them before fitting? if so are there any areas where the wax should not be put??

Waxoil would probably attract dirt and grit.
I really wouldnt bother.
