Rear strut brace
Anybody know if there is a certain manufacturer to go for when buying one of these? It's pretty much a solid bar so what is the difference in the £40 - £140 price gap on different makes? are we just paying extra for the logo as usual? All advice welcomed
I got a rear sti type one made of aluminium off ebay cheap. Fittin was ten minutes.......
Mine is a classic shape wagon and it definetly made a difference made the back end move all of a piece if u know what i mean? Just felt more solid.
The saloon has a stronger rear bulkhead then the wagon so i noticed it more.
Fitted one to the front an felt no different at all , again an ebay shot!!!!!.

thats fair comment this is the first wrx iv had so just trying to find what works and what dont suspension wise . im changing the drop links for alloy ones and bigger arb on the back .
Unless it's properly triangulated. an upper rear strut brace is only good as a camera mount and sod all else.
Take 4 strips of wood and screw them together in a rectangle. How rigid is it? Floppy as anything, isn't it? Why do you think an untriangulated strut brace will be any different?
All these 'improvements' are denial inspired figments of the buyers' imagination.

I installed a whiteline rear strut bar. I run alot of whiteline stuff. They are a go-faster suspension maker, they do R&D and have a good reputation for making suspion parts that work.
Certainly stiffen up the rear for sure. Hard to describe but you can feel the rear better. Mindu I run stiffer tein ss coilovers. The effect maybe different on std springs.
