Default Fitting STI strut brace on a classic

Got hold of an STI Carbon Strut brace which was taken off an STI5/6. Searched the forum for fitting instructions which was fine, but the problem Iv come across is that the right bracket doesnt seem to want to fit on the mounts. Its only off by a about a 1 - 2 millimetres but its stopping the bracket from sitting properly. The left one is fine. Took the whole thing a part so im left with 2 brackets a bar. My car is a MY98 so Im sure it should fit??

Bit baffled now, is there something else I need to do?

Try jacking each corner of the car up in turn to see if this makes a difference. The chassis will twist a little bit hopefully allowing the holes to align.

You didn't mention how the holes don't align ie the mounting studs are too far apart, too close etc. so it's a bit of a guess as to where to jack in order for it to work

Thanks for the reply mate. Forgot to put something on here. Got it fitted at Zen. Who ever had the car before me looks like they had been a bit aggressive with speed ramps causing the mounting studs to flare out slightly. Not a big problem and it was sorted.
