Ive got some tein lowering springs to go on my 2000 uk classic and subaru 4 you in newbury quoted me £250 + vat and my local garage quoted £200 as he said you cant get to the top of the struts through the boots so have to take the rear seats out etc?
Does this sound correct to you and is the price the going rate cause my last 2 vectras i got lowerd only cost £100.

I had a set [Tein] fiited to my bugeye and the total was £400. This included a geo set up afterwards.

The last set I did myself and it took me around 3hrs or so and I would never pay anyone again to do this job as it is quite easy if you have the tools.

The rear seats come out in less than 5 mins.....dead easy.

It is a lazer alignment set up. Basically adjusting camber, 'toe in' and 'toe out' to ensure all 4 wheels are perfectly aligned. Geometry is often way out on older cars [even new cars] and after altering suspension components the geometry can be incorrect so requires checking and adjusting.
