Default change rear bumpstops without upsetting alignment?

not sure if this is possible, but i am thinking that if i jack up the rear of the car via the diff, and loosen the rear shock top nuts i might be able to push the rods down and change the bumpstops ?

lowered springs so no real "twang" issues when taking apart

iirc when i fitted them i fitted the top mounts back on by hand without spring compressors.

anybody tried this?

really dont want to remove the rear shocks fully as i have not long paid for an uber 4wd alignment setup
