You'll need some spring compressors and a half decent set of spanners/sockets.
Things to make sure you do are mark up where the front strut bolts to the hub carrier so that when you refit the spring/shock assembly, you keep the alignment roughly as original. If the springs are lower than your original, it may need an alignment anyhow depending on drop.
Springs MUST be compressed fully before undoing top not holding the upper spring platform on.
Easy job really in my opinion.

Forgot to say, if it is your first job, then perhaps taking loads of pictures is a good move as you remove things, especially the position of the spring on the spring platforms of the shocks. That way you will have reference as to how things are re assembled.

It's a macpherson strut design so exactly the same. How it's mounted to the hub maybe different (can't remember from my old vectra).
Just remember to mark things up so they are re assembled properly (ie strut to hub carrier). Two or three marks around different parts scribing from strut mount onto hub carrier will ensure a pretty accurate re assembly.
