Just wondering what is a good suspension setup for a 95 wrx wagon?

I want it to sit a touch lower but want to keep some sort of comfort as it is my daily driver. I dont want to break my back over cats eyes like my old mr2 turbo did!!

I dont mind spending a bit more money on good quality kit!

Would i better:
A) Just lowering springs with standard shocks

B) Lowering springs with uprated/adjustable shocks

C) Coilovers

Also is wagon kit the same as the saloon versions?

anyone? i would be dead interested to hear too as i have a '97 JDM WRX wagon. i understand a 22mm rear ARB is a well respected upgrade too and guess that should be a given no matter what? Adam, hope you don't mind if i add...

D) 2nd hand Sti dampers and standard or aftermarket springs

Hey mate have you had any joy with your set up yet? I have a 96 wagon and was wondering where to start. It seems to understeer really badly.

Wagon spring lengths are longer than saloon spring lengths and if you put saloon ones on the back looks as if it is sagging. Coilovers are the way to go if you can't find wagon specific springs (I never could) as they have adjustable spring lengths. If you understeer badly start with solid drop links, 22mm adjustable anti-roll bar, bump steer mod and anti lift kit. Then think about springs etc.

Talk to Bren @ Apex about his coil-overs.
A rear ARB will cure MOST of your understeer, best value mod on my car !

i remember this thread!

i have since fitted 22mm ARBs all round, heavty duty droplinks and heavy duty steering rack bushes. great in the dry, in the wet good but be bloody carefull when trail breaking in the wet- understeer may seem like a distant and rather cosy memory... if anyone has a facelift grill, lights,etc for sale PM me
