Default Prodrive Springs Compatiblity

a mate of mine has offered me some prodrive springs for my scoob, however his scoob was a 06 plate, and mines an 03, are they the same springs throughout the range?

also what else would i need to fit them, ive heard some stuff about bushers, he hasnt said anything about these, how much would a dealer charge for them?

Hi Ryan, I took Prodrive springs off my 06 Sti (Hawkeye) and I am pretty sure they are not the same as your 03. They were 25% stiffer than the OEM springs so I hope that is what you have in mind. As a road car you will have a very bouncy ride because the springs are so stiff the damper does not have enough travel to actuate in so the car bunny-hops on rough roads. Many guys say the same. I am happier with OEM springs and I hope to be able to cahnge to Coil Overs in the near future. To change the springs is about 2-3 hours labour (say about £45 +VAT per hour) and a wheel alignment, so excluding the cost of the springs you will have to pay about another £300 - £350.
Bushes - I think you might mean the rubber end stop that goes over the damper rod - the Prodrive ones are different in length to the stock OEM ones. A bit shorter if I remember correctly.
Where do you live? Peter
