Default perrin arb troubles

has any one had any trouble fitting one to a v4 sti, i cant seem to get the roll bar mounts to fit, they seem to small, do i need to change my rubbers or my brackets??

The bar should have been supplied with the correct new bushes (plastic) and I think they also supply brackets too. The whiteline ones use the oem brackets for their bushes.

ive had the plastic bushes but never had any new brackets, theres no chance that my old brackets will go over them even when i tryed to modify them lol

you can modify the inside of the bushes. thats what i did.

ive had a look at the info that was sent and it does not mention that there are other brackets, they also tell me that i should use the original brackets. the rubber bushes i got with the bar fit fine but cant get the original mounting to go over them, they are to thick and wide

Wrong parts somewhere then.

Wrong bar/bushes for the year of car? Maybe mixed parts. You have to go back to the supplier.

A Perrin dealer such as TSL is needed.

thats where i got it from, what i dont understand is that whiteline do bars from say (92-00) (00+) but mine is ment to do the lot, did try ringing them last week but i caught them when they were at lunch like me lol. the part number is psp-sus-100 if rings any bells for anyone

for some reason the perrins come with new age bushes, i spoke to tsl about mine and i was told they modify them, also when i spoke to tractive they said they dont fit the front bar to classics purely because of this reason, easily sorted

its not as bad as it sounds, just use a dremil and remove bit by bit
