Default Bump Steer mod removal

Hi folks,

I had the bumpsteer modification done a few years ago on my MY00 Impreza turbo 2000.

Ever since I have had problems with the steering rack creaking, which my service centre keep tightening at every other service. I think this modification is the cause and want it to be removed at the next service (next week).

Can anyone advise me of what the modification is, so I can tell the service centre what to remove before re-aligning everything.

I thought it was just a couple of shims in the steering rack mounts.
So they just need to be removed and 4 wheel alignment to be done.
Am I correct ?

regards
Dave

Default

2 sets of spacers, one behind each mounting bolt and one on each mounting point of the rack.
Will need aligning after.
