Fun on track day with proper suspension setup
I've owned the wagon since 2001, and the pile of Whiteline and other suspension part receipts has grown higher and higher ever since. Roll bars, anti lift, steering rack, kyb ax, eibach lowering and so on - but it still didn't have the feeling of a proper track day car.
It wasn't until this year I could afford to "take the plunge" and get AST coilovers, AST top mounts, poly bushes and a supporting R180 rear diff. I had my wagon on the first track day after a complete suspension upgrade this weekend - and now I'm impressed. Very good grip, predictable handling and tyre wear (running on Toyo R888) is drastically reduced. Earlier it would tear of chuncks of rubber from the front wheels, I could practically destroy a set of tires on one track day if I wasn't cautious.
Rather fun being able hang on to a Lotus R340 for 5 laps, although the driver clearly wasn't able to utilize its potential (braking too early).

Now that the handling is sorted, I can finally start focusing on the engine
