Aparently coilovers are just noisy - not much you can do about it.....this is assuming they are not broken - any leaks/holes/gunk hanging aroud. Some coilovers you can get refurbished.

Standard suspension - depending on what model (05 onwards) is a 'characteristic' - which means its knackered.

The teins are near enough brand new, been on the car for a couple of months.

I have had this problem for ages on my classic. I was convinced it was the coilover top mounts. I've just had another look today (after buying standard suspension to fit to it ) and it is the steering rack. Its worth giving that a check as your suspension is relatively new. Just shake the steering wheel side to side with the engine off and listen for any knocking. I reckon its happened on mine because the suspension was so low and seriously hard. Good luck anyways.

It won't stop the noise, but to answer your question, if you want to lube the coilovers use a silicone based lubricant - as advised by Powerstation.

Default Knock

Hi all, I have signed up to this board today cus I have no idea whats up with my Scooby?

I got a 95impreza inport WRX... I have had it about a year and its been great.. But I too have a crazy knock on the front end... It does not change pitch with speed and it is not really consistant with the bumps in the road??

You can feel it at your feet and its getting louder and is happening more often.. I have heard stories of brake pads rattling etc.. etc... but honestly dont know... It cant be the exhaust, its a metal on metal knock and it sounds to heavy to be a hollow pipe???

I got an intake problem that started this week as well... but i will post that in the correct thread!

Over to you guys....
