Default Urgent, please help: Assembly of adjustable AST top mounts

I've finally received the missing AST top mounts for my sportline coilovers. However, I'm unsure as to how to put these things together. The picture shows how I think it should be, any feedback on this is highly appreciated. I couldn't find any logical way to use part X on the picture

Are you sure you need part X?
I never saw Curtis at Powerstation assemble mine, but send this message to him and I'm sure he will tell you.

And sort the damping settings!
That is the fun bit.

Are the AST's single (top of the strut) adjustables?
