Default MY06 STi Prodrive Springs

Just a quick question if I may........

What sort of price should I expect to pay a main dealer to supply and fit a set of Prodrive springs to my MY06 STi?

I'm in the process of ringing round at the moment but I have had only one confirmed price of £499.95 inc. VAT. The rest are ringing me back...apparently!

A ball park figure would do, thanks

I paid about £400 3 years ago so your £500 sounds about right. Don't go "you know where". Make sure whoever you get to do it also does the geo correctly (most dealers are rubbish at this). Not sure if SC can get these springs but I'm sure they'd have their own very similar Eibach kit and at least you'd be sure the geo was done right.

Cheers, Diccy.

Thanks for the replies folks......

Bob, I'm based in East Yorkshire

D1CCY, Don't worry mate I'd rather torch my motor than take it there!

Heard on very good authority yesterday that a large number of MY06 owners have complained of knocking after having aftermarket springs fitted including, amongst others, the Prodrive ones. Can anyone comment on this first hand?

I'm just wondering whether to s*d the expense and go for the "full monty" all in one go. Rear ARB, anti-lift kit and AST's......basically a Type-25 setup. Granted it's rather more than I wanted to spend but about as good as it gets. Only problem is I've got 2 years warranty remaining......is it worth the gamble?

Sounds about right - 170 quid for the springs plus fitting.

Had mine done at powerstation when the car was supplied - I think it added 400 quid to the price supplied by Litchfields - but would have to check the invoice.

Danny,

I'm going to get ASTs in the summer at my next service at SC. If you beat me to it I'd like to know how you get on/what the ride is like.

Cheers, Diccy.

No problem Dick!

Check out this group buy....

....might be worth putting your name down for a set of AST's!

Don't fancy driving all that way for an uncertain discount. I'll stay loyal to SC.

Cheers, Diccy.
