ah right, might not be your main suspension then, get it up to a specialist, scoobyclinic arn't a million miles away, and get them to have a look, if its the bush's you can get uprated drop links and anti roll bar for about £200 ish fitted, saving you a large sum. or might just be new bush's needed so not more than £50 - £100 once fitting and vat added in.

It's a common problem with 03 sti's donna, as you've said, they've already been replaced once, and should be again if the problem is still there. I had mine done at Prosport - 0161 4329999 - service@prosport.ltd.uk, give them a call, and speak to Clare to get your car booked in. Bit closer than scoobyclinic too!

We had a 2002 STI in recently, the mileage was fairly low so we tried our luck at replacing the shock absorbers under warranty (not a used car warranty) and I.M supplied the springs as a goodwill gesture customer only had to pay for the labour, result!

Does sound like the shock absorbers, and it is quite common with STI's.
