Newage suspension on a classic
Just wanting to check this out.
Am I right in saying that to fit new age struts to a classic, you need the classic tops. Thats all?The rest is straight fit.
What change in ride height do yo get, if any?
Thanks

You'll run into some camber issues I'm 99.9% sure. Several years ago the struts available were classic style- we tried to run these on the new age and got very high neg cambers in the rear -2.5 to over -3! It stands to reason you'll see the opposite- camber going positive.
As far as ride heights the differences were small- the front perches on the classic are slightly lower- so a new age would raise the front a smidge IIRC it's about a 5mm difference.
The difference in ride height due to new age springs will be completely dependent on the spring itself. It's very possible there could be some major differences in like rated springs- newage vs classic in regards to free length. Also the classic w/ less sprung rate will see slightly higher heights everything else equal.
