MY05 WRX, Prodrive springs?
Well, I know I said that I was going to keep it standard......
I'm considering getting some Prodrive springs for my MY05 WRX, is this a worthwhile mod?
Can anyone recomend anywhere near Guildford to fit them and do a geometry check?
Should the settings be diiferent with Prodrive springs?
Thanks,
Ade.

Yes and no !.
Definitely worthwhile. Despite modding my 01 WRX up to 273bhp, I think the Prodrive spings are the most worthwhile upgrade I've done !
Cost about £450 at my local Subaru dealer, inc Geometry. Won't affect Warranty.
Much improved handling, ride perfectly acceptable.
Dunno anywhere in England-shire that'll do it for you though !

Hi,
I've just had Prodrive springs fitted to my MY05 PPPd WRX and they are excellent. The car feels much tauter, steering turn-in is sharper and more direct (more Go Kart-like) with better steering feel. The ride feels firmer (as you'd expect) but it's still comfortable. Less body-roll and less understeer too. Cuts down front-rear dive and lift under braking and acceleration. All in all a very worthwhile modification that makes the car feel like it should be out of the box.

I've got Prodrive springs too; great mod, as above (plus make sure you get the geometry setup properly).
Next, get an uprated anti roll bar and drop links for the rear - makes a whole world of difference, however isn't so warranty friendly as the springs. I got my dealer to supply and fit, to minimise any future hassles.

Ended up having to have all four struts replaced with the new springs, only cost me for the springs kit and alignment
What a different animal once it was done, I echo everything the others have said about having them done, should of had it done ages ago
I am also running with a rear ARB and Droplinks, Rear upper strut brace, Front Upperand Front Lower Strut braces, don't think there is much else I can do
My local dealears were fine with all the mods as in there words I haven't done anything silly

Well, I'm convinced that I need them. Just spoken to the insurance company and they only want an extra £40. I just need to find the time to get the car booked in.

If you can't get Prodrive you could go for Eibach. They make the springs for Prodrive.
However, that's do in your warranty and they are stiffer than the ones Prodrive sell (ie not identical).
