Default whiteline arb's

just got my scoob and I'm told Whiteline arb's are a good thing to go for. they have so many parts listed though it's a bit confusing - anyone car to share their experiences on what's best for road/trackday use?

car is a 1999 WRX saloon

thanks

Paul

i got a rear ARB and droplinks in my 2003 STi all from Whiteline and i noticed a big improvement over standard setup.
But i was not until i had an ALk and new geometry setup that the car really transformed its character - world of difference and all good
if Powerstation are near to you ... they did a good job on mine and it all works really well

what size bar did you go for? can you buy them on their website - i can only see prices for the full kit installed. as I understand it the ALK on the subaru actually promote more lift and dive - do you find that?

As above, fit a 22mm antiroll rear bar/ALK and a GOOD alignment job.

road and trackday I'd be tempted more towards 22mm front 24mm rear.
The anti lift kit is more about Castor improvement than it's anti lift properties, in fact there was a thread on here by whiteline themselves that basically said there was nothing to be had from the anti lift side of things but the name stuck.

Demon Tweaks, Rallynuts and Powerstation are the only places I know of, there are probably more.

I don't think the Scoobynet discount is on the tweeks site, Rallynuts were pretty competitive. Powerstation didn't seem to have online ordering facilities? ended up ordering front and rear bars and antilift from here
will let you know the results when I get them on. thanks for the tips.I've gone for 24mm rear. hold tight!

Bought mine from Dave as well - though I got the steel droplinks. Around £180 inc next day delivery. All getting fitted today

I need to get four new tyres soon - so will wait until I've done that before getting the geometry done.

Had my droplinks and ARB fitted on Friday there and the handling difference is amazing - got mine on medium.

Wish I got these ages ago.

Track scoob:

In the end the chassis mods go like this:

22mm front/24mm rear bars.
Camber bolts all round
AST coil-overs (so nice)
AST or Noltec front top mounts
Solid bushes everywhere (including the rear diff carrier)
Solid rear diff locking bolts
Steering rack hard mounts
Rear adjustable lower lateral links
Front lower brace frame
Very good tyres (ie Kumho V700 series)

A PowerStation alignment job, a full Monty by Curtis or Fuzz

Goes exactly like this:
DropShots Day
DropShots Day

Graham.

ps: if you think they are slow the first is on a damp track
Second one approach speed about 80 mph.

It seemed pretty fast from my 'seat'!

excellent thanks for the list. now I don't think that seems slow -far from it! where else have you run your car? Ever been to Cadwell? that would test the handling. unless your cars well tweaked (don't think your's will have this problem)you end up with lots of pesky FWD's all over you!

No, I'm a local guy really.

Just do a few Championships in the Midlands, Loton Park, Shelsley Walsh, Prescott and the odd ones at Harewood (first vid) and Barbon Mannor in the Lake District (fab track).
All good fun.

Hoping to do the Isle of Mann in 2007, one climb is at night!
