who should lower my car??
ive just got my hands on a set of ebiach pro springs for my bugeye wrx. what i wanted to know was, should i get my hubby to get his hands dirty and do it for me, or should i pay someone to do it. ive read in a few magazine and a few posts on this website and a few others that everything needs aligning afterwards. what does everyone recomend. if i need to get them fitted by a specialist does anyone know of a good cheap place to get them fiited in kent.

Correct me if i'm wrong somebody, but spring change does require geometry settings alignment.
Elite is not too far from you, in Rainham Essex, i have used them in the past. If you don't mind travelling, Powerstation down south has a very good recommendation. I'm acually having mine fitted at PS very soon.
I guess the choice is yours.

I've done two Subarus an EVO and several Fords in the past at home. Not the nicest job in the world but it'll save you quids!
There are a few things to look out for so, if he does decide to do it, come back on here for some info.

You could get away without an alignment, as I have done recently until I get round to having it done, but really if you've changed the springs you will have had the four struts out and back in again, moved the top mounts, the bolts and camber bolts, perhaps twisted the springs and seats round one way or the other etc and it's unlikely that the alignment will have stayed the same.

I would recommend getting the geometry done after fitting springs. I had my springs changed and it didn't feel right afterwards, just didn't give me confidence in the corners. After having the geometry done later, it felt fantastic. I would never have my suspension touched again without finishing off with the geometry setup.
