Unhappy Knocking noise from rear....

Well, noticed a strange knocking noise recently when driving around at lower speeds. Normally happens when just coasting in 4th gear.

No noise on idle at standstill or reving at standstill. I searched on here and saw all the posts that I must admit I had read years ago but forgotten about.

Went to SGT in Taplow today and spoke to servicing. No sooner had I said "knocking from the rear of the car" there was a smile of recognition and a "so we'll need to order you some rear shocks"... Spoke to Alex who I bought the car from and he knew straight away what it would be as well. I mentioned the rear suspension having problems and he simply said "struts"...

Fair play to SGT as they simply ordered the parts and booked the car in for next week to have them changed over under warranty. Top marks guys.

But as far as Subaru go... How much has this design error, if it is that, cost them since the first ones went on the 03 STi's ?? My car has only done 8k..

I'll keep you posted on the result of the change.

Scott
