Clunking at low speed on full lock after a long drive...help !
Hi fellas,
On start up all is fine but after a drive say em a couple of juncs on thr M1 say, pulling in to the car park and slowly creep round in to the bays the cars got an awful dum dum dum dum sound coming from uderneath.
Cant say whether from the front or rear just underneath.
Sraighten up the car again and shes fine but start turning tight again and there it starts.
The tighter the turn at slower speeds the worse it is and some times it sound and feels bloo*y arwfull.
Also only seems to happen when everythings got nice and warm.
have to admit 1st time i had this happen i nearly s**t myself.
Any others had this ?
Any help would greatly recieved.
Cheers
Matt

Cheers for that m8, since i posted the thread i had a crawl under the car and spotted a boot on the inside of the wheel, think its a cv boot got a split in it and grease splattered all over the shop.
That the problem we think ? I guess with the grease leaking out the joints getting warm and knocking ?
Read about the CV joints and ball joints, all the same area?
The split boot is on the near side front and its when i turn right that the cluncking starts.
Whats the remidy? new cv joint or ball joint etc?
Many thanks
