Question I want a firmer ride but don't know what to get.

Guys,

I have a MY99/00 classic and was thinking of upgrading the suspension. I don't have a great deal to spend. All I want to do is have a slightly firmer ride. I currently have standard shocks and springs. I don't want or need it lowering, just a bit firmer. Any ideas? Thought about different springs or shocks or both but wouldn't really know what to go for. Some from a different model perhaps? Or coilovers? I really don't know how to get the ride I'm after so any ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

Chad.

I've got some Eibach Pro 35mm lowering springs on my MY99 UK Turbo.
Feels firm, but definatley not uncomfortable.
Thats on standard shocks with Prodrive geometry settings.
£150 for springs, £50-£100 for geometry setup.

IMHO:

Fit the suspension complete from an Sti v4 or later classic Impreza.
Then get it properly aligned.

I've got the Eibach Pro Springs (25mm drop) on mine, with standard shocks and the ride is greatly improved, especially after geometry setup. I think I paid something like £300 all in at Powerstation inc. parts, labour and geometry, so not a fortune either.
