Question AST coilovers, same fitting for....

03 WRX as 05 STi or even 06 STi

I'm gonna strip off the superb AST coilovers from my WRX before selling it, but would like to know if I can re-use them on my next intended Scoob. Not 100% sure what I'll get next, or even when, but it will definately be an STi and more than likely an 05 at the earliest, and possibly an 06+. Also, will they fit on a Spec C, and is there any point given the Spec C's already awesome handling

Thanks in advance

You must talk to Rich ot Curtis at Powerstation as there are some differences but i don't personally know what they are.

Just a 2 mins call this morning.

Not certain your best bet is to ring Powerstation, there very helpfull

IIRC there are the same but you may require a different set of springs going from WRX to Sti

IMHO, the AST's will be an improvement over the original Spec C hard ride as they are Adjustable.

You can use them on every WRX MY01>06 and STI MY01>04, MY05 & 06 STI uses different suspension mount points, this is a comparison between the two STI suspensions:

They should fit ok except the ride height will be very low. Simon (Psi3) has AST's on his Forester STi except they are Forester specific ones.

As far as I know the only difference is in the strut length although Powerstation could confirm.

Thanks for the help everyone. It looks like I may end up selling them on, but not until I am certain which Scoob I will end up with. I may well cut costs and buy an 03-04 STi, but ideally would like to go as new as possible with the best spec, obviously. If they can't be used on my prefered choice at that time then I'm sure there won't be a shortage of takers when I sell 'em.

Thanks again.

I wish, missed the gb @ powerstation as lacking in funds atm

irony is, I'm in the process of getting the second of 2 brand new rear struts for my sticky knocky my03 sti problem sorted. Prosport have done one, other one should be going on next week. So I'll have 2 brand new sti struts that I don't particulaly want on
