Does this look like a front ARB for a classic?
Trying to fit this bar to my RB5. It's supposed to be a Whiteline 22mm fixed front ARB, but it doesn't look right and I can't get it to fit for the life of me
Old & New
Fitting #1
Whiteline logo right way round. Bar clears engine and struts but interferes with the control arms. Also holes for the drop links don't lign up.
Fitting #2
Whiteline logo upside down. bar bangs on underside of engine and won't go anywhere near the drop link holes

Dont recognise those two dinks in the centre of the bar, looks the wrong type to me fella.
Got any numbers on it (white paper sticker on one end)
Sticker upside down and ends going under the track control arm would be the correct way round... if it was the right one.
Send it back to whoever you got it off and ask for the right one.

Stefan:
Your first installation is with the bar upside down, Ive done that mistake myself! (as Fuzz knows...)
Install looks right (despite label position) but is all seems wrong shape to me.
Just been to look at my Sti v3 facelift classic, and the bar between the pivot bushes is arrow straight, not double kinked like yours.
I think your bar is for another model of Impreza (or a Forrester etc)
Graham.

Yeah, the 1st one I knew was upside down but it didn't fit the correct way up so, I was just making sure. My first thoughts when I saw the bar was "it's not the correct one".
Iy had a hand written sticker BSF20 (the correct Whiteline part#), but it doesn't look like ANY front classic ARB's I've seen pics of - they all look pretty straight; just thicker.
Cheers,
Stefan

Dont know Graham, I sent a mail to Roelands this morning saying I wouldn't be up because of being ill, he didn't enlighten me to how it was going..
Which test track are you thinking of booking late march?
Mine HAS to be done for 10th April as I've got Coombe booked for the day
Wouldn't mind jumping in on a prescott test day with you if that's what you mean.

Sort of close.
the test morning i have in mind is one I've done before, Curborough close to Litchfield off the A38.
It is a great little sprint track.
You can hire it for a morning (3 hours) or a day etc and split the cost.
In my experience 2 or 3 of you is enough to ensure you get a good session between you all.
You can do a lot in 3 hours, so i hope to get the AST's sorted there. No danger of the plod, free track, safe and private too.
Ideal!
When i have a date firm i will pm you (no obligation) but it will probably be a Wednesday.

That's the one.
A track that is deceptive.
Looks sooo easy until you are on it and driving hard....
Attack is NOT the best strategy....
But a good hill clinb set-up track strangely.

I can see this as the Start Of graham organising an SN sprint day
Haynes was good (well it should have been, I won ) I wouldn't mind having a go next to some veterans
I don't have a race licence either so that may put the "dampers" on it.

One less thing to worry about then good.
Anyone been to both Haynes and Curborough, when you say it's a relaxed format, is that "Haynes ralaxed" or what.
I.e Haynes museum just hand you the gate keys and say "bring em back when you've finished"

yep exactly the same, there are a few 'ground rules' eg. only one car on treack at a time, no speed carried thorough the start/turning area and no car on track between 1-2 (lunch anyway ) but apart from that, pretty much a free reign of the track

I won't be washing my laundry in front of you Young Bucks and that's for sure, us 'Veterans' have some pride left...
The thought of trying to organise you lot makes me think of a Safari Park full of wild animals...
Membership to Shenstone and District is a mere £19 per year!
So, Club members are £40 + 19 for a test morning.
As a private morning it is £140. You get 2 or 3 mates along to share that and you are back to £40ish again.
You can pick your own week-day if it is available.
It is understandably very popular.
