Default URGENT HELP REQUIRED

Fitting some new spring to my MY03 WRX.

Got the front springs on fine yesterday but i'm now doing the rears. Got the wheels off and lower suspension strut clamps off but I can't get to the top of the struts. I assumed it would be in the boot but after ripping out all the inner panelling it looks like its under the edges of the rear parcel shelf.

the question is how the hell do i get the rear shelf out? I've tried searching but its pretty hopeless on my PDA here in the garage.

Can someone please have a search for me?

On the classic shell access to the rear tops is by reoving the rear seats completely. The tops are then just about reached if you have nimble fingers. Everyone has difficulty.
Rear seat is released by 2 x12 mm bolts in the rear foot wells and the rear upright part unhooks from tabs in the shell by the parcel shelf.

This is a pic of the roll cage in my car, but the access to the osr top mount is in the corner just by the roof pillar trim where the seatbelt goes.

Graham.
