Question Fitting AST coilovers - Rear seats out ????

Do the rear seats need to come out when swapping the rear suspension components ? I know they do for fitting a rear strut brace, but I think that's just to get the thing in due to it and the cars physical dimensions. I can't see it being necessary, but please corect me if I'm wrong. Doing the job tomorrow.

Thanks in advance

from memory when mine were fitted by Powerstation they just took the rear seat out. Its not a big job to be honest as I have had it out myself.

Yep. Two 12mm bolts to remove the lower seat sqab and four 12mm bolts to remove the rear seat upright part. Take car removing from the car as they have nasty sharp edges that can easily scratch the paint work around the rear door areas!

They need to come out to enable you to get to the three bolts on the strut top mounts.

Best regards,

Ian

Just try doing it without removing the rear seat!
Out in 5 mins, saves about 30 in frustration, back in 5 mins or less.
You will love the AST's.

Graham.
