Default Strut brace keeps hitting intercooler!

Fitted my Whiteline strut brace today to my 04 WRX, but the problem is that it keeps banging against my STi intercooler that I have fitted to the car, Is there anything I can do to make it stop hitting it, The strut brace was bought second hand which was took off a WRX with the standard intercooler.

May be you need the Whiteline STI strut brace. I think this clears the intercooler better. I'm sure Powerstation would be able to confirm that.

Loosen the bolts that hold the intercooler in place and the 2 sir clips that hold the intercooler to the intlet manifold. Pull the intercooler forward as far as possable and tighten them back up. This was what i did when it happen to me. Hope this helps

I recently did a intercooler swap on a classic shape Impreza (sti-9 intercooler) and this made the standard STi strut brace do exactly that..
The cure was to fit a whiteline one.

You could try bending the brackets that hold the intercooler, so that it sits a little lower in the engine bay??
