Question Rear Strut 4 classic

Hi all,

i ordered a rear strut brace 4 my MY98 scooby. Went to fit it and the thing just won't go. spoke to the vendors and they said it should fit! anyone else had probs with fitting a strut to my year of impreza?

I presume you've tried every possible angle of attack..??

You could try jacking the back of the car up slightly so the top mount bolts aren't obstructing it in anyway.

They can be a pain to fit, is it like that with both ends? Have you tired both ends on each side of the car?

i got a rear strut yesterday an fitted it it was pretty time consuming an you have to wiggly the parts in to place as they are a tight fit

Choose one:

1. something is bent
2. the strut brace wasn't made properly
3. you're not trying hard enough

are you sure you have them on the right side, ie, left and right, they look like they are handed to me.

I had problem a couple of years ago fitting one of these, they supplied me with a wagon rear brace rather than a saloon.....just a thought.

just been out to check my cusco one and looking at your second pic, if that is on the passenger side then you have them on the wrong struts.

the flat pice on the mounting plate should face the rear of the car.

unless of course yours is different to the cusco ones. (or i've mounted mine incorrectly )
