Getting a loud click comming from the front o/s suspension when going over those lovely speedbumps. I`m asssuming its the balljoint. Question is how much of a job is it to replace? I`ve done them on other cars but never on a scoob (my95). Or could it be something else?

 

jack it up and you should be able find out quite easily if it's a ball joint or not by wiggling the wheel and feeling for free play.
left to right free play only indicated track rod end or rack.
Up down free play only indicates bottom ball joint, damper or top mount
both ways indicate wheel bearing.
