P1 Suspension, can it be effectively reconditioned?

I've seen differing reports on whether the P1 inserts are Bilsteins or Kayabas. The Bilsteins can be rebuilt (Bilstein-UK 01455 283407) but the KYBs can't.

btw there are 2 sets of Bilstein/Prodrive struts on *bay just now - no connection to me.

Nice one. It was having spotted them that I posted this question. Spoke with Powerstation who said you can't rebuild either the KYBs or Billies. I'll do a bit more research I think before I bid.
