Angry Springs,Not happy,any suggestions?

hi fellas

i have a 99 V impreza 4wd sport, which ive kitted up like the turbo with quickshift, induction decat etc,as i cant get insurance for a turbo because of my age, ive just got some eibach springs fitted on original shocks which are supposed to lower it 30mm. thats fine but there is knocks and rattles coming from what sounds like the front wheels and the steering column, which is loud when going over large bumps and bouncing round small roundabouts. does anybody have any suggestion for me.

cheers lads and lasses

paul

The springs are not seated properly, the top spring cap is the problem, the little whole on the top spring hat needs to be facing out over in line with the centre of the shock.
Can take a while to get it right.(took subaru a week on mine and still couldnt sort it, so I stripped and rebuilt them myself)

if you rebuild them yourself do you not upset the geometry setting etc?

Yes, But I reset mine with a spirit level and laser level, had it checked not long ago and it was bang on.

mine started this so i took it stright back to powerstation. They has since wrapped the lower part of the springs in wrap as the final coyle when compressed touches the the the next part of the spring thus producing a clinking noise. So far so good with this as it almost disappeared completely - although i think i have heard it once or twice since
