Default STi7 (MY02) Rear suspension noise

Took car in for 40000 service and complained of noise from n/s suspension when fully loaded. Noise confirmed and solution 'reqires modified rear strut mounts and springs'. Is this a known fault but only treated when complaint made?

Main dealer supposedley ordered necessary parts and car was booked in for Friday 25th. Dealer rang during the day to say not all the necessary parts were available and the repair could not be completed. No car all bank holiday w/e. Is this typical main dealer or something special?

What sort of noise? Mine tends to "clunk" when going over some bumps.

'Clunk' would describe it pretty well! Not a major noise - rear passenger first drew my attention to it.

Me, too. MY03 STi with PHP. They tried the spacers first - that supposedly fixed 9 out of 10. Then they changed both rear struts for the modified version. Much better now
