No,

the cars are different weights, have different power outputs, different struts so will be quite a bit different.

I'm thinking of putting STI struts on, so just wondered which springs to get.

Might be better to consider the '05 monotube dampers with the new 05 springs. Don't know how feasable/possible it is, but may be a better solution. If it is possible, I may consider it myself if/when I do the Prodrive springs.

IIRC the 03sti struts are a straight swap fitting on the same model year WRX. Seems to be a popular mod in the states and Aus.

The springs are not the same, the STI Prodrive Kit came out in April 2003 & the WRX Prodrive spring kit came out on the 10th of December that year 2003, those of us with WRX's had to wait a long time LOL

Regards

Not being funny but this is EXACTLY why we shouldn't be using the silly name, STi8. Which do you mean, 02MY STi (which is the 8th version of STi produced) or an 03MY STi?

I know, i know, STI8 doesn't exist, i should have called it by the real name, just being lazy, i meant and STI MY03, Can you advise now please mike?? Basically i am thinking of buying STI struts for my WRX and wondered what springs i should get. Iwas going to fit a set of WRX prodrive or eibachs and keep the standard struts at first, but know thinking of upgrading the struts aswell.

Sorry, I wasn't being pedantic, the difference between 02 & 03MY STi is important as the rear topmounts changed and hence the springs are different. Also our 02MY springs don't have the bumpstops included in the kit like the 03MY.

If you are going to change the dampers, my suggestion would be STi dampers with a WRX spring kit and the bumpstops from our 03STi kit. If your dealer is struggling with the part numbers, let me know.
