Q for those that have had their Ledas rebuilt.
Finally got my Ledas rebuilt a few weeks ago and are now on the car. However while looking over old threads i saw this:
Rebuild Pics
The dampers looked like mine when they were sent of, but his came back all shinny. My main bodies hadn't been cleaned, or even attempted to be cleaned. I had new brake pipe brackets added and these areas where just sprayed with silver paint.... over the existing dirt!!!!!
So what did yours go out like and what did they come back like. For over £400 (all new rods, pipe brackets and spring seats) i would have expected them to come back in better condition. I'm not that impressed to be honest.... i asked to be supplied with a c-spanner too (3 times) and still haven't got it even after being told this would be posted out so i had it last saturday. In the end i borrowed a friends spanner.
Tony.

Tony, only just seen this.
Can you pm me with your full name and/or invoice number, and I'll check the job card. I'll also put a couple of c spanners in the post this afternoon myself.

Yep, as Beverley said all sorted. The important bits (i.e the actual rebuild) were done very well.
The units are still quiet as a mouse, no knocks, clonks or bangs. Very impressed with the rebuild, can't wait to get them back round Oulton Park .
Hopefully the c-spanners will be here shortly too. Beverley, can you remember if they were posted to my home or business address?

Guess what turned up this morning (just in time to adjust the rear ride height slightly) . I think they took so long to get here as they arrived in one of those Royal mail bags saying 'sorry we've damaged the goods.....' . Think they heard the spanners clonking about and assumed something had broken . Spanners worked a treat and i'm happy with the ride heights now.
Castle Combe..... always fancied trying the track out
