Good one mate... Surprised this hasnt been answered already!
I was asking as I am sure it was different for the later classics and wondered how it compared to the P1 and the Eibach Pro kit.

similar here - had oem ones to start with, now i have the Eibachs but i want to try some sti4's as they are not progressive - sti4s look a bitter stiffer than eibachs but I also want the figures to compare with oe ones.....

So how did you find the Eibachs compared to the standard OE springs [ and what other suspension / wheel changes etc are you running ] ?
I have already gone to 18'' wheels, have a Whiteline adjustable rear ARB and the powerflex solid rear drop links... Just wondering about the springs now

I was advised that running 18's on std springs/dampers would stress them too much and probably sh@g them.
I have Eibachs, but waiting to have some P1 suspension fitted in the next week or so.
Eibach's are way better than the std springs.

Comparing eibachs to OEM - much better turn in and general stability ( not sure on high speed though ) but they didnt reduce body roll that much - the rear whiteline arb did more of this for me - Im not 100% convinced - they can feel a bit vague/soft sometimes to me and it might just be as they are progressive or i prefer something stiffer - thats why i want to try out the sti4 ones to compare. Ride quality was virtually unchanged which is a plus for uprated springs.
Other mods im running are whiteline front drop links, front strut brace, rear arb 22mm on mid setting, bumpsteer by Powerstation , rear drop links, whiteline ALK and MY01 17" wheels.

Don't know the rates, but the P1 stuff is in a different league to MY00/Eibachs IMHO. Better ride quality, far better handling and body control. Although the P1 stuff was new and the MY00 dampers were 30000 miles old. However, a standard WRX 03 is in another league for ride quality, but sloppy in the corners, can't have everything I suppose?
I fancied the Tein EDFC stuff, but apparently it goes from rock hard to even harder. I wanted the option of standard ride quality or back road spec adjustment. Didn't need better than standard to track, am I asking too much?
