Are they easy to fit or a right PITA?

I think it's quite easier. Do they have their own top mounts or do you need the standard ones. If so make sure you use spring compressors. Could get away without bleeding teh brakes too depending on the coilovers. And lastly don't forget to have the alignment done afterwards.

Tein coilovers, oh spring compressors - sounds messy as I'm not that mechanically minded, I think it'll be going in the garage to be done then!

I put my coilovers on myself, and they were very easy to do. Only took a few hours

Cahnged mine myself, takes about 20 mins a corner, the rears are a bit trickier cos you need the rear seats out to do it. As mentioned above get the geometry done afterwards (immediately).

You won't need them if the strut comes complete with the spring and top mount already put together, which is most likely.

He will more than likely need the spring compressors to get the old struts off as the are considerably harder to remove when fully extended than the coilovers.

Tein struts are normally complete units so have the top mounts already on. As said above you'd take the old struts and springs off as a unit... so no need for compressors. You'd only need them if you were taking the old springs of the old struts..... not if you are just taking the units off the car.

Its extremely easy if you have the right tools... if you dont, you may want to just pay to have it done.

I timed myself and I can do it in less than 15 minutes a corner, in a shop with a lift I can do it even quicker. The rears take a little longer when I have to remove the seat, but that can be accomplished in a minutes time.
