Classic suspension query

Classic suspension query
Can anyone tell me if any of the impreza range (classic shape) were sold with adjustable platform (ie height adjustable) struts - either as standard from the factory or in modified form eg PPP for example?
A friend of mine is in a long battle with the MSA over the legality of his rally car in standard production class. He currently runs adjustable platform struts and has done since importing his 95 STi several years ago. If we can show that the car was offered with adjustable platform out of the factory or as a factory option he can continue in standard production clas. If not hes gonna have to shell out on a new standard suspension setup
Many thanks in advance
Rich

Bloody scroots! I hill climb my Sti v3 and we have similar issues.
To the best of my knowledge though, they are right!
I think it is worth searching really hard, as every now and then you read on Snet of STi parts with adjustable dampers on 'normal' cars. There may have been options in Japan not seen here etc.
I think there is an early Sti Group site some where, Google for it, probably some experts there!
Good luck, we have no such restrictions in hill climbinh!
