Question Prodrive spring kit - how much to fit?

See that main dealers charge about £225 for the 03 Sti spring kit but how much do they charge to fit them? Can you buy the springs from a dealer without having them fitted as I'm guessing it would be much cheaper to have them fitted somewhere other than a main dealer?

Has anyone done this??

Cool Appears to be a rip off

Had mine fitted by my dealer in Jan. They quoted £420 fitted with full laser geo set up a week after the springs were fitted. Time to settle in. The figure of 4hrs to fit is correct but Prodrive state 2hrs in the fitting time list they send to the dealers. The dealer should only charge what the Prodrive manual state not the actual time it takes. It makes a change to get one for the customer. I even won when I whet back for the alignment as I know the service guys well, so they did not charge the 1 hour labour. All in £360 and well chuffed with the improved ride.

Hopefully the info helps with a recalculation with the dealers.

Tiley Subaru quoted me £165 + vat for the springs, then the service dept told me it'd take 5 hours to fit, at £60 an hour. But they could do it for £300+vat.
So that's £546.37 all in.

Ordered WRX springs today from Westaway Northants. Springs £176 Inc VAT (includes 10% SIDC discount). Total price including fitting less than £300. I think this is a good price for a very reputable main dealer. Can't give you any exact amount because I'm having some other bits done at the same time.

I got a price of £420 fitted.

I called heritage in leic and got that price, was told that prodrive had them in stock and they would call me in 2 days to book it in. That was something like 2 weeks ago. Anyone else had trouble getting theirs booked in?

I got a quote for £148 to fit the springs and then £99 for the wheel alignment (which is required after the upgrade) from Powerengineering. Not sure I would trust a dealer to do the wheel alignment!

Cheers Guys. Seems the cost can vary quite a bit. Gonna phone around a bit and see what's the best price

Has anyone managed to get a discount (SIDC member) on the parts alone??
