Thumbs up

Had posted a while ago about the terrible understeer on MY 01 turbo (old shape). Loads of people suggested having the bump steer mod done as well as other things. Standard tyre were Bridgestone RE010.

Anyway, after 12k miles (in 4 months) I had a set of Bridgestone SO2 fitted, following the advise of other. What a difference this has made to the handling, as far as I'm concerned now, it's sorted out!! The other thing worth mentioning is the car brakes in a straight line, and doesn't wander all over the road anymore.

On another note, a few weeks ago my mate who had an M3 tested mine out. Within 2 minutes he'd decided the BM was for sale. He's had countless cossie, merc, BMs. He said Scooby grin factor is 11 out of 10.

Since purchased a p reg silver wagon with 105k, got it for a amazingly cheap price.

I have to agree with people on here, his standard brakes are absolutely pants compared to my standard 4 pots.

The anti roll bar on mine is much better than his. He prefers his setup, as he can hang the back out around roundabouts. It's got to be said, that there's nothing like being in a fast car with a superb confident driver.

Cheers Phill C

Nozzer,

How's it going, heard that you've got a P1 and fair play to you!! Seen your last Scooby in Tileys with a bold front left hand tyre. I know that feeling.

Going on a Jonathon Palmer driving day on Thursday at Bedford, and hope to encourage the officials to allow me on the track. Worth a try, up against the Audi TT will show them how to do it. Someone I know will be bringing his new UK300 (not that I'm interested in it). Will have to show him how to drive it, as I did with his P1.

Thought the track /airfield days would be all booked up, are they ?

Cheers to you, Phill C

Your not suffering understeer, you just keep forgetting to turn the wheel

You never know when the Chins will strike

Jonathon,

Now I've got the hang of steering from the rear, with the throttle, I doubt that very much!!!

Put me in a sign writen TW van, and you wouldn't stand a chance.

Will be terrific if we can bribe the track officials into letting us get out on the track. Have to take some spare cash!!

So how's the new UK300 then mate. Hope it's met your expectations?

Cheers mate Phill
