I have TEIN adjustbles on my MY99 Type R.
Although they dont have the incar adjustment, they are VERY VERY hard even on the softest setting

They are Sports Spec Type HA items , Basically Ride Height Adjustables, with adjustable top mounts and damper adjustment etc

John,

I used the tein before. They are ok on softest setting, of course they are much harder than standard suspension, but if your anything like me, the positives of coilovers certainly out weigh the negatives. If you want comfort stick to standard, if you want handling then go coilovers.

Also................just how good is it to be able to adjust the damping of the car from the cockpit

Do you mean the squidgy noises at low speeds till they warm up?

Thanks guys, I don't want something that goes from rock hard to even harder.

I am tempted to thrown some P1 suspension on there as I really like the P1 for all round road use.

John the Tein is "VERY" hard even on the softest setting.

My mate has a HKS Tokyo tuned R33 Skyline that runs the HKS coilovers and that is positively soft in comparison to the TEIN kit on mine.

I was speaking with Rger Clarke Motorsport the other day and they reckon that the best setup you can get is the stock STI5 kit and settings.

Am tempted to try and get some standard units or maybe even P1 suspension as they are both much softer and much more forgiving.........

Guys, try AST suspension. I've checked it out and it's really plush.

http://www.astsuspensionuk.com/

They're fitting it to the new Type-25s

Default TEIN

I have to admit i love my tein setup. it is hard, but the ride is superb, hwoever as mentioned previously the ride noise at slow speeds even when warmed up is quite loud.
