Default Lowering advice please!

Im thinking of getting my car lowered (approx 35mm)

Ive been recommended Elite at Rainham Essex who said they can fit a spring kit (inc labour) for £210 approx. Is this good value and has anyone used them before? If not can anyone alse recommend anyone in the Chelmsford/Essex area.

Many thanks,

DOg.

If you lower it, you should really get the car's geometry set-up. Speak to http://http://www.scoobyclinic.com/ in Chesterfield for a really good price
You may wish to supply your own Springs as the Eibachs that the Clinic supply won't drop your car 35mm - probably more like 20mm

I am also looking at lowering my car, (03 WRX), im looking at sourcing some the Eibach pro kit from the states, given the exchange rate before shipping and import tax they are currently working out at 123 quid.

I was also a bit concerned about the geometry, as i am aware that it makes a huge difference to the handling and feel of the car. Is there anywhere nearer Milton Keynes than chesterfield that do this? and if so.....how much?

Im looking for about a 25-30mm drop (i think!)

Cheers,
Neil.

Unless you are replacing the dampers and springs for a set of coilovers (not for that money), then lowering the car that much will almost certainly destroy the handling. The only proper options are change the springs for Eibachs (which work well with the OE dampers) or replace the dampers and springs together (either for something matched or for coilovers).

You will need decent geometry setup done after and if the car is the old shape, getting the Bump Steer Mod done at the same time from Powerstation would be very worthwhile.
