Question

Has anyone had the above kit fitted? I'm informed that it is the same dampers that are in the Prodrive kit, although springs are set at a harder rate. Cost is also considerably less at approx. £700 fitted.

Hi

I also am interested in Bilstein suspension. Is it adjustable at all? I've got Eibach springs on my WRX and my kidneys have cried enough.

Question

John, Rob,
I,m interested in trying to source Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs equivalent to the Prodrive stuff.
Can you recommend some sources?

ABP Motorsport in Crewe are advertising Sprintline kits for £559 inclusive for the Impreza. I spoke to a "Mike" who seemed quite helpful, he said that the kit only fitted cars with 51mm diameter KYB Struts and that you had to unbolt the existing damper insert from the strut housing, withdraw it and re fit the new one in its place so measure the diameter of your suspension before ordering. The Sprintline is not adjustable, the shock absorber is matched to the spring but the spring rate is approximately 25% harder than the standard setup. Other than that I don't yet know if it is any improvement on standard shocks with Eibach springs.

All we need now is someone living near Crewe to go and get it fitted and report back on weather its any good or not.

Hi David, you don't know anybody that lives near Crewe do you? Isn't Manchester just round the corner? :-) By the way I'm off to Malmsbury on Monday to DH Cars for my 7.5K service, am I going to be given the TVR or will it be a Justy? I know what my moneys on although after what you said about the TVR I'm not so sure I want to drive it now.
